Ever since we first started creating ready-made curriculum-based content for Interactive Whiteboards, we struggled with combining the core curriculum standards with interactive content that would be both engaging for the students and easy-to-use for the teachers.
We believe we have successfully achieved that goal with our 80-screen page ready-made and curriculum-based Digital Lesson Plans for use on Interactive Whiteboards. How did we accomplish this?
- First, we followed our teacher pedagogy created for our wide selection of supplementary resource books. The format: Before You Read, Reading Passages, and After You Read sections were used as a base model for our Interactive Whiteboard software.
- Then, we filled this model with curriculum-based content and incorporated interactive elements with the students in mind. Our goal: to get the students out of their seats and interacting with the content 100% of the time.
- Next, we wanted to include fun and comprehensive extension activities that would supplement the curriculum content. The Memory Match Game was born.
- Finally, we listened to our customers. A lot of our added features came about based on feedback from distributors and teachers. We now include a Memory Match Game as a standard activity in all of our titles as part of our Extension Activities, paired with our Crossword and Word Search activities.
